Offering thought-out and outcome-driven guitar and voice music lessons and performance opportunities, Jon Copp is driven to communicate stories authentically and instil a sense of personal and musical confidence in his students.
In addition to being an avid learner himself, the idea of practising what one preaches is central to Jon’s philosophy of teaching; he performs regularly and is available for gig bookings at restaurants, private events and functions.
To book a music lesson (“TEACH”) or enquire about a gig (“PERFORM”) refer to the Book Now section in the dropdowns above.
Original songwriting works will be coming soon.
About Jon
When I was growing up, my parents fostered a love of music in me and my siblings, investing time and money into our education and development in several instruments – first piano, then saxophone, guitar, and finally singing.
Music has been the one constant throughout my life ever since. After having spent the early years of my adulthood studying law (followed by a brief period of legal practise), I am intent on recognising the value that music has added to my own identity, by giving back and helping other students find their own voice (see my Teaching Philosophy). All the while, I’m continuing to pursue my own musical journey by continuing my studies at the Queensland Conservatorium, constantly seeking to improve at my craft and create work I am proud of.
This philosophy is embedded into my approach to teaching – I think people succeed most when they love learning and love what they are doing.
